Placed to the west of the intersection between Via Laurentina and a secondary road, these tombs bear eloquent testimony to the stratification of funerary buildings belonging to the different phases in the life of the necropolis. In fact, placed on top of the funerary enclosures in opus reticulatum work with stelae or monuments inserted into the façade (late 1st century BC – early 1st century AD) are later columbaria (2nd – 3rd century AD) in opus mixtum, opus latericium, or opus vittatum, witih niches and arcosolia. Among the burial sites from the oldest phase, Tomb 9 stands out for the refined decoration of the façade, obtained thanks to the use of bricks, tuff stone, and pumice.
